We were doing a vlog with David Dobrik last night, and I just wanted to gamble $10,000, and I accidentally blacked out, and I borrowed $150,000 from the casino. I have $33,000 in my account. This is debt to the car, $68,000, so I don't have enough money to pay back the casino. If we hit for that million, I'll give Steve all of it other than my $150,000.

I've been with the firm for two and a half years working with Eric that whole time, but I hold a doctorate in engineering specialty in propulsion from MIT with a bachelor's from Penn. What is a specialty in propulsion exactly? My thesis was a study in the ways that friction ratios affect steering outcomes in aeronautical use under reduced gravity loads. So you're a rocket scientist? I was. How did you end up here? It's all just numbers really, just changing what you're adding up and to speak freely. The money here is yours. Let's go over how much I made in the month of October as a stay-at-home mom with random little side hustles. I started with zero followers. These are, in my opinion, pretty darn easy side hustles that, like I said, almost anyone could do. I'm not talking about digital marketing or reselling a course or dropshipping or anything like that. These are just simple, legit side hustles that I do. First up is affiliate marketing. this is whenever i have like a software or a program or anything that i recommend to other people if they purchase i get a small commission and that made me $802. And we have mystery shopping, which is where I get paid to go into establishments and basically review like their customer service. Get like their names, see how they did, if the restaurant's clean, all fun things like that. They have online shops too. And then I also earn a small affiliate commission whenever I recommend the course that I took. and that made me $1,476. Now one of my all-time favorite things that I do that makes me the most money usually is Amazon reviews where I make review videos on products sitting around my house or products that sellers have sent to me and I just make sample review videos literally just sitting in front of my phone like this and I upload them to Amazon. I don't have to share any of these to social media if I don't want to and that made me $2,434 directly from videos that live on Amazon. So I did not have to use any social media at all to make almost $2,000 which still blows my mind. Like I said Amazon sellers will send me free products to review so I always I never have a shortage of things to review. A of those free products I don't really need so I resell them on Facebook marketplace my husband does help me here with this one a little bit but that one made me $1,235 last but not least we have TikTok shop which is basically TikTok shop products if I find a product and I make a simple little video talking about it and someone buys through that video then I get a small commission so that made me $2,036. So that brings my grand total in the month of October as a stay-at-home mom to $7,983 which still literally blows my mind. I've got three kids three and under. 90% of the time when I'm working my kids are either watching tv or eating snacks or taking a nap and i do sometimes stay up a little later than i probably should but it's clearly worth it if any of these sound interesting or like something you might want to try out comment any of these words and i'll send you a link to the training that'll walk you through how to get started with each of these

Okay, so not only do two mortgage hedge funds backed by Bear's terms go belly up, but now there's a class action lawsuit against Bear. Holy shit. We bought 80% of our swaps at Bear. We'd lose everything. Bought these fucking things. We have no clue how to sell. I know. We have to get Ben to do it. Trying to sell $200 million worth of securities. You can do this. I don't want to pressure you, Ben, but if you don't pull this off, we lose everything. This is Brownfield Fund. I'm wanting to unload my credit to false swaps. All right, what you got? 20 AA truncheons of ABS CDOs. ABS? If you don't pull this off, we lose everything. This is Brownfield Fund. I'm wanting to unload my credit to false swaps. All right, what you got? 20 AA tranches of ABS CDOs. ABS? So these are pretty bad? Absolutely. They're complete shit. Base value is $205 million. Dollars. All right, we could go to 40. No, we want at least $100 million. $100 million? What are you, a drug dealer or a banker? Because if you're a banker, you can fuck right off Look, if you don't want the deal, you can just hang up That's what I thought. 90 million. 70. 85. 78. 84. 78. 84. First question. Are you using AI? I am not. No, I'm currently... I'm joking. Oh. Okay, I can see you're not using AI. Don't worry. Okay. so the first question actual question and I want quick answers from you is what's the formula for extended cost of equity? All right. So the formula for extended cost of equity is cost of equity equals risk minus free rate plus a beta, which is times market risk premium. I think that's it. Good, good, good. I like that answer. I want a fast answer this time. All right, sorry. Okay, what's the formula for extended enterprise value? Quick, quick. The formula for extended enterprise value. It's enterprise value plus market value of investment minus cash and classic equivalent right right great okay what's 3696 divided by 0.4 uh that would be pretty close to 9 240 great wow okay nice easy easy questions though mike quick maths yeah

my highest earning month yet 🥹💰 #incomebreakdown #howtomakemoney #contentcreat...
Transcript
I made $44,896 from content creation last month. If you had told me that a year and a half ago when I quit my job to do social media full-time, I would have been shook. I am shook. That is a crazy number. I track everything in the 2.0 spreadsheet from CodePlanty. I have one copy for my personal budget and then one for my business. So let's walk through it. I made this income from three different income sources. so my lowest one this month was from youtube adsense youtube pays out from views from the month before i uploaded five times in the previous month and i got about 131 000 views this was in 2850 my lowest one this month was from YouTube AdSense. YouTube pays out from views from the month before. I uploaded five times in the previous month and I got about 131,000 views. This was in $2,857. We don't have the TikTok creator fund here in Australia and I don't get paid any money from Instagram views. My next highest income source was from Affiliates, which was $4,706. And my highest income stream was from Brand Partnerships at $37,333. Now I'm by no means a big creator and this is by no means a regular month for me. This is actually my highest earning month my whole time on social media ever. Like this is a huge milestone. I think I have a few things that work in my favor. Firstly, I have the best audience, you guys. You guys are so engaged. I feel like we've created a really great supportive community and there's a lot of trust, which I definitely don't take for granted. I've also diversified my income streams. I used to just do YouTube, that was like my biggest platform was YouTube. Now I've gotten into short form content which has opened me up to a whole new audience, all these new brands that want to work with me. I also haven't stuck myself in one particular niche which definitely works really well for some people. I mean obviously big focus is personal finance i love talking about personal finance but i also do lifestyle talk about home things i talk about motherhood my journey into motherhood it's literally whatever i want to talk about and it's me which i think translates quite well this just goes to show I love talking about personal finance, but I also do lifestyle, talk about home things. I talk about motherhood, my journey into motherhood. It's literally whatever I want to talk about. And it's me, which I think translates quite well. This just goes to show there is so much money and so much opportunity in this industry. Truly anything is possible. Now, obviously we have to set aside money for Mr. Taxman. I over-saved on my taxes last year. So I'm going to set aside 35%, which is about $15,714. And I'm going to pay 14% into my super fund at my maternity pot, which leaves us with about $25,000 take home pay.

I got married very young. I got married in 2012. A year after. After graduation. My husband was, I think, in fourth year when I joined. So it was that quatuor. Mmm, I'm talking a fresh one. One thing I was very deliberate about is when you are to have kids. The reality on the ground is for most women, your career stagnates and you don't want that happening very early on in your career. And I know even when I got married, I was called in and I was asked, so I'm assuming you'll go for maternity leave in nine months. And you sit there and you have all these sorts of responses in your head and what you say is, um, no. And it feels very intrusive talking about such matters in a boardroom it's a question that carries along for most women especially when you get married as if you can't get pregnant when you're not married yes it's a level playing field but there's this expectation that you will take off or your performance will go down which is usually not the case what did delaying your pregnancy intentionally or delaying your ability to get pregnant intentionally allow for you to do financially? I think it helped me mature. You can look at a 23-year-old and assume the same mindset, the same decision-making ability, the same thing you have at 30 or at 40. There's still some growing up need to do and people grow at different places and i think it allowed me to grow and figure out who i was figuring out what do i like what path do i want to take then as you grow in that even career-wise then you also plan better like i want this kind of life for my kids i want this kind of life for my kids. I want this kind of life for myself. I want to become this in five years. I want to become this in 10 years. It helps you become more mature to make more responsible decisions. Otherwise, you start asking people for a few coins, they ask you, where was I there? No.

How did Steve at this rate lose a million and I lost half a million? That means we lost like 150 hands in a row. Tomorrow morning, I'm borrowing $2 million from anyone.

I put in my notice at work yesterday, so let's talk about it. I've been on my corporate job for one and a half years now, and I have wanted to leave for a couple of months. Lately, the work hasn't been something that I've been interested in, and I've just found myself going in, sitting in front of the computer. Obviously, in corporate, you're on the computer for eight hours a day and just Zoom calls all day, and it was slowly killing me inside. That's how I felt. There were company-wide changes like return to office five days a week and also layoffs. In fact, the rumor was that there was going to be a layoff every single month. So you can imagine how people at work felt. The morale was very low. I might have not noticed that if I hadn't started doing content last year because I found a really really big passion for it and a purpose in it and so going to work and not having that really highlighted it. I'm most definitely not someone that would do something like this without a plan like you never hear me say I left my full-time job with no backup plan. That is not true. I have multiple backup plans otherwise I would have never have never done this. And last year, my husband and I ended up paying off all of our debt and we have a one-year emergency fund. But on top of that, we saved extra money because we knew they might come to a point where I would want to take a break from working in corporate. When I started feeling like this every single day, I asked myself, okay, what is the point of me making money, also saving money and preparing for things like this, when in reality, I'm just spending my days in a way that I don't want to be spending them. So I really had to stop and think about what can I do next. So I made a plan. Until the end of the year, I will not be looking for a new job. I will simply live off of whatever I make from social media. And if I have to tap into my emergency fund, then that's okay too. And at the end of the year, if I decide that I want to go back to corporate, then I will actually pursue something different. I want to move from content design into project management. And so for the rest of the year, I'm giving myself the freedom to just explore things that I've wanted to explore, but haven't the time to. Whether it's being creative, going to Bulgaria to visit my family, to just hang out, to be more active, to get healthier physically and mentally, and to just rest. And I'm not new to risk-taking. I moved to Asia when I was young, then I moved to Bulgaria, now we moved to the US and now I'm just gonna do something for myself that excites me and I truly believe that if you want something to be changed significantly you have to take a risk otherwise it's just never gonna happen but it's not happening right away I'm still with my job until the end of the month so the end of March and then I guess we shall see
